Brief History of PNPI

Boris Pavlovich Konstantinov

(23 June (6 July) 1910, Saint-Petrsburg – 9 July 1969, Leningrad)

Eminent Soviet physicist, corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences since 1953 and academician since 1960; vice-president of the USSR Academy of Sciences (from 8 February 1966 to 9 July 1969). Hero of socialist labor, awardee of two Orders of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, laureate of the Stalin (1953) and Lenin (1958) prizes.

LNPI (presently PNPI NRC KI) is named after Boris P. Konstantinov.
